Can you believe what else was in the tote bag?

This Amish tote was able to carry SOOOO much. Here are some other fun purchases......above are two log cabin potholders (sorry the picture turned sideways...must be Blogger's day to misbehave.....so you need to tilt your head to see the potholders properly). They were made by a very nice 71-year-old Mennonite lady who was very willing to talk to us about her quilting. (I showed her neighbor's farmhouse in a previous post.) The next two photos show a fun and well-made casserole carrier. We talked to the Mennonite lady whose daughter made this and also made the Amish tote bag I showed a few days back. There is some wonderful talent in that family as the father makes absolutely beautiful furniture, quilt racks, etc. This first photo of the casserole carrier shows it closed up (folded flat).Here it is with me holding it with a covered dish inside and trying to take the picture with one hand. Don't you love that there is a pocket for a serving spoon? Now I can't wait for a potluck dinner so I can take a dish inside this lovely carrier!!!I will have another couple of posts of purchases and then some "people" shots of the fun times we had while on the retreat. (Because you KNOW we had times where we laughed so hard that tears were rolling down our faces!!!)
