Our friends' greyhound

Yesterday I spoke about us going with our friends for them to meet Garth. Well...Garth didn't seem too impressed with them and they just didn't feel a connection. (The adoption folks said that a connection is important.) So...they considered two others and this handsome guy is who they adopted. I'm not sure what his name will be, but he is a real laid-back sweetheart and he and our dog got along VERY well and were both very well-mannered on the long (over 2 1/2 hour) ride back home late today. The second photo shows how well this sweetie already bonded with my friend on the ride home! Pretty cute, huh?

aww he is adorable! I'm so glad they found one they did connect with. He really does appear to be a very sweet dog. I'm looking forward to learning his name and reading about his future adventures with your friends.

Have a blessed day!

Oh My!!! This is the type of affection that Greys are so very capable of giving. It is amazing that the breed is always noted for speed and beauty, but in fact their gentleness and affection are bigees too. Congratualtions! You will enjoy dog sitting for this boy I am sure......

That is the most wonderful picture of the new owner and her greyhound! Just precious for sure. It looks like they're going to have a lot of loving years ahead to share. How great you have someone so close to swap dog sitting with.

This comes at a time when I am thinking we may need to get a dog.
If only I could count on one like this...

That's precious!

My neighbor has a greyhound and she's super tall while standing on all 4 feet, and she's really sweet. Whenever I'm walking, and the neighbors let her outside, she comes running towards me. It's scares me at first because it's odd to see something so big running towards me out of the corner of my eye. I just stand there and she comes up and puts her head under my armpit(that's how tall she is) and just sits there while I pet her. She's a sweetie.
