Well, anyway....I am getting off-topic here. I actually "finished" two projects that were not UFO's. They were new projects and I started them and saw them all the way through. Yay!!! Good for me, right? (Of course, not so good for the too-many-to-mention UFO's sitting around in my sewing closet.)
So......one of the finished projects is one of 6 mini-wool applique patterns I got from Santa. The pattern is called Itty Bitty Button Pictures by Bonnie Sullivan. Just below you can see a picture of the first one I finished....but it still needs to be trimmed down and put in a frame. (See...finished but NOT finished!!!) Since there are buttons on it, I am hoping to get a shadow box-type frame and set this on a shelf as part of my Valentine's decorations.
The other finished project is a zippered tote with lots of pockets (inside and out). I made this from a tutorial on a blog Mary Grace has. You can click here to find the directions for the tote. The first photo shows the two fabrics I chose for my tote. The photo following that shows the completed bag. It can hold a lot and I'm very happy with it. Mary Grace was very encouraging and helpful when I had questions, too. Thanks, MGM!!!

Oh my love that mini!!!I think when we do these small fast to finish things it keeps us inspired to tackle the bigger ones.. or works that way for me!

Wow they're both beautiful. I really favor the heart pattern (my anniversary is valentine's day so I'm partial). You did a great job on both.
I have so many things around here that are unfinished, it's just crazy. I'll get them done some day though lol!

Pat, I also love the mini! I love working small and am thinking the fuzziness of the wool would really hide my far from perfect applique stitches. ;) Thanks for the idea!

I love your tote bag. I'm sure it's very useful, too. Kate made me one last year that I use all the time. She used several pieces of fabric from wall hangings she had made for me, which makes it even more meaningful.

Oh gosh, TWO? Good for you my friend!! I just love that little wool one, I'm very fond of that type of thing. I also love smaller projects like that to make myself feel good. Cute tote too, can never have too many totes, LOL. I know it is very cold there so stay warm and sew your heart out.

Your little heart block is so pretty! I haven't tried anything in wool (I think I need to clear out some of the cottons before I start loading up on something new) ☺ Love the tote bag, too!
