NYC - nothing like it! Not that I would ever want to live there - not now - too old! But, I think it, Boston, and Chicago are awesome places to visit!

That window decor is just beyond anything I've seen since I was younger. Downtown Seattle's Bon Marche and the Frederick and Nelson's use to do really fabulous window displays. I don't think they do much anymore. Love your little granddaughter eating that corn, yum.
The photos of NYC bring back memories of when I lived in New Jersey - eons ago. We didn't go into the city very often, but I remember the ice skaters in Times Square and holiday window displays.
Something about cities at Christmas is very special. I don't care much for them any other time of year. I'm glad there are still stores that do wonderful window displays. It seems to me that they are fewer these days. Maybe it's because in Washington, there aren't many (any?) major department stores left. I should go in and take a look this year. I have been pretty much avoiding DC since I retired, but this time of year would be a good time to return.
