I made good progress today on my disappearing 9-patch and will show some photos of that on the blog tomorrow. I am happy with how it's progressing.
The last item on today's "agenda" (but not the least, as the saying goes) is to tell you that I am very excited that I'll be taking a class with Gyleen Fitzgerald on September 14. She will speak at our guild and then teach her Batik Star Tesselation pattern to several of us who signed up for the class. (Two of my neighborhood quilting pals....Kaye and Sherry with no blog... are taking it, also. YAY!!!) Click HERE to see the pattern for that class. It looks quite difficult, but Gyleen has a way of making her patterns easy to do AND fun, so I am confident I won't have any problems doing the quilt. Above is a photo of Gyleen teaching it to another group. (Thanks, Gyleen, for giving me this photo to use.) She is a wonderful speaker AND teacher...and if you ever get the chance to see her, be sure to GO. You won't regret it...I promise! She has another book I love called "The Dream" and I'm about to buy her newest book.....called "Quilts: Unfinished Stories with New Endings".

yah for your class........i would love to take some type of quilting class....you'll be quilting that day and that's when I start my medical coding class......i think you'll be having more fun ;)
Good news with the house repairs back on track. I hope for your sake that this is over and done with very quickly!

I would love to take the class. I want to learn how to do a tessellated pattern.
I have to agree with Pat, I am so excited to be taking this class. I have seen Gyleen speak twice but have never taken one of her classes. She and Pat Sloane are my favorites!!
