Just a quick post with some perennial flowers that are in my yard. They are little bulbs I planted a few years back...just a few of them...and this year they are looking really nice. I need to try to find out if I wrote down what these are called (or if any of you know, please tell me). Then I will know if I need to divide them and other things about their care. Since there weren't many of them until this year, I never really worried about them as they were basically taking care of themselves....but now I want to make sure I can keep them thriving.
Also....I know some of you know Linda B who raises alpacas.....well it seems that her newest baby alpaca (Eve...some of you saw her pictures on Linda's alpaca blog...click HERE for the alpaca blog or her regular blog ...click HERE for that one) isn't doing too well as of the time I am writing this....and her alpaca mom (Edna Mae) isn't caring too well for her. Linda is doing her best to care for Eve, of course. And it seems that Edna Mae just might have some type of infection and that may be why she isn't caring for Eve. Both Edna Mae and Eve will be seen by the vet today, and I'm hoping things will turn out just fine....and I know all of you will be hoping for the same thing. I spoke to Linda on the phone last night and she will be letting us know about Eve and Edna Mae as soon as she can today.

Hummmm, my favorite color, just may have to come and get me some LOL. On a more serious side, I read about the alpacas last nite and told Linda we are all pulling for them and hoping for the best
Gosh what lovely flowers. I've never seen them before. I would like to know what the are too...I would love to plant some..if they can handle our winters.

I found two possibilities for you mystery plant. Neither one is quite right. I can't tell about size from the photo. Are they bulbs?
Campanula (Bell flower)- flowers usually hang down like bells.
Platycodon (Balloon flower)
- the buds look like balloons before they open up.

If these were bulbs you planted, they will multiply each year, using the dying greens for nutrition to grow the bulbs. After they die down, you could dig them all up and plant some in other places, but I'd give it another year to get a real good supply. Coincidentally, the student who did the landscape design for our city park chose these exact flowers for one of the flower beds. I will ask him again today what they are. And thanks for spreading the word about my girls.

I checked Linda's blog and looks like the alpaca's are doing better. That flower is beautiful. I'm like Crispy, I want to know what it is and then I can see if it would withstand winters here in the north.
