And....here is another block from the Sylvia's Bridal Sampler book.....this one is called Card Trick. I've always liked the look of the Card Trick block but never made one until now. If you click to enlarge it, you will see this is not perfect, but I have deemed it to be "good enough". I do a lot of "good enough" things. Do you also do "good enough" things or are you one of those perfectionist types who keeps ripping things out until they are perfect? (I made this block the other day and I don't think I showed it here yet...if I did, sorry for the duplication.....I'll blame it on "old age/poor memory"!!!)

It looks perfect to me.
Great job! I also have done a LOT of "good enough" quilt squares. Some of my paintings are like that too. Otherwise I would work on one painting forever and not move on to other things.
Sure, I do "good enough." I hardly ever rip out. That said, I did spend part of Saturday ripping out free motion quilting . ARRRRRGH. That is a real nightmare. When I show the lap quilt (Quickie) I will try to remember to blog about that.
Oh, here is a link to Quickie
My husband's fav saying is "good enough for government work"! He's a retired gov't employee!!!
I always have one error in any quilts I do - I don't stress about it anymore- I'm far from perfect!!!
This block is beautiful!!! Love the colors!!!
I love this block. I made all the blocks for a quilt several years ago, but never did finish the quilt. I chose a very difficult fabric for the sashing with stripes that made it almost impossible to sew together without looking all wonky. I'll finish someday.
Your block looks good to me and no I did not enlarge it so I could see your errors LOL. I hate to admit it, but I'm a perfectionist which is why I stick to hand piecing....not so much ripping out LOL.
Crispy
remember the 15/35 rule, if it looks good from 15 feet away at 35 miles an hour its perfect ;O)
Love your Card Trick block! Good enough applies to most quilting projects cos we want to get them done! Just ignore Crispy.....
Love your block, Pat! All my quilts are "just good enough"! LOL! No, no perfectionist here, just here for fun and the pleasure of working with the fabric. You won something on my blog! Can you send me your address?
This is one of my favorite blocks too. Very pretty!!
I love that card trick block...."GOOD ENOUGH" is always my motto too....
Thanks for visiting my blog.
I'm so glad you enjoy your donut...
I enjoy making those so much.
Peggy
you, my good friend, are teaching me to do "good enough"!
As a pretty new quilter, almost all my quilting falls into the "good enough" category.
Your quilting, however, is fantastic!
