So....remember that sunny, warm weather I spoke about yesterday? Well overnight it changed to cloudy and cool and THEN light rains came. It was just enough to make for a day in which you didn't want to be outside very much. We did get a carriage ride first thing in the morning and that was before it rained. We enjoyed it and got a few photos along the way...also took photos of the Carnival Fantasy at the dock preparing to leave for another cruise late yesterday. Then we ate lunch at a nice Irish pub....good food, great waitress. We browsed some shops and then I enjoyed a brief nap back at the hotel. We ordered take-out from a nearby restaurant for dinner. Then......it was time to get organized for the next leg of the trip. I hope to blog about that tomorrow! Here are some photos from yesterday.

They do have some beautiful private residences "south of Broad" (as they call it) in Charleston! Some are for sale. If you have some spare "change" (between $2,000,000 and $5,000,000), you might want to go take a look!

Looks like a fun day! Bummer on the weather turning :( we had the same here!
It's been gray here, too. Rainy today. Looks like some more weather is coming (4-6" projected for us). Hope you stay warm and dry.
Welcome to winter in the south. You never know what the weather will bring. But be assured, it will change.
WE got scant snow, and ice, enough to close the schools and cause delays!!! Love the mules!!!! And the houses are gorgeous!!!

You are having way too much fun....BTW.....Texas stole the sun for a couple of hours but we've passed it onto the next state.

Rain beats snow and ice any day!!! I'm really enjoy the vacation you're taking us on... Just so it feels like I'm there with you... Are we there yet?
Even in the cloudy weather, the pics look better than all the snow we have here! I realized yesterday that when I take Kaiser out to the backyard that when he jumps off the trail that Steve carved with the snowblower, the snow is two feet deep!! No wonder they are beginning to worry about spring flooding around here! I love the houses. Several years ago Steve travelled to Charleston for a project and brought me back a book on the houses of Charleston. It's good "eye candy". Don't have any change in the millions laying around so guess we'll be staying here in the land of the snow. LOL!
Rain is better than snow right? The buildings are so pretty! I need to visit that area! I'm so close and never been. Oh and let me mention....I'd have snuck my way onto that cruise ship (another thing to do on my bucket list!) LOL
