St. Augustine and the beach.....

We went to the old town area of St. Augustine yesterday and then walked by the ocean and found some nice shells on the way back to our friend's house. The air temperature was 70 but the water was cold.....we put our feet in anyway. Loved the blue skies and warm sun and will miss them as we drive up to the Atlanta (Georgia) area today. It will be tough putting a winter coat back on...that's for sure!Me and my friend, Nancy, braving the chilly water but enjoying the sunshine!

We had a nice day here yesterday, but the temp has dropped overnight. It still isn't really cold, just 49. But we will heat up the town on Thursday!

I went to St. Augustine as a kid - the oldest city in the US or something like that? A friend took pix at Rehoboth not too long ago - snow on the boardwalk - pretty and deserted!!!

I love St. Augustine. So jealous of the weather as I stare at a wall of snow coming down. Maybe I'll have to sneak away with the kids after this snow storm is done and gone.

I love St Augustine! Did you get to visit Magarite's Quilt Shop? Her shop is the local LQS in St. Augustine. Beautiful quilt shop! Did you get to go to the fort in Old St Augustine?

We love the St.Auggie area and this is where we stay in the RV right on the water.
C wants to move there!
Looks like you missed some snow but maybe more coming up in Del.
Enjoy the warmth!
Hugs,
Lola

St. A is such a fun place to shop and walk around. That warm sunshine will soon be only a memory as you head back to the snow. Enjoy it.

My youngest son used to teach at Flagler University in St. Augustine: we used to go there often. I love the old town. There is a nice fabric shop downtown, or at least there used to be.

I love this town. We have went the last 2 years with my Mom. I think my 2 sisters are going with her this year. Last time I went I was so sick and probably wasn't good company but it is a place to see.
