Hi Pat, your flowers are so beautiful! I don't think I have ever seen such a deep purple hydrangea before. It is just wonderful! We are redoing our flower beds this year and I am looking forward to putting in some hydrangea bushes in front of my sewing room window. I had several when I lived in California. There the soil does not have very much acid, so the hydrangea stay pink. It is very rare to see a blue one unless the gardener is adding something to his soil. Here in Georgia it is just the opposite. All the pine trees, I am told, help the soil to have just the right balance and hydrangeas and azaleas flourish. Have a lovely afternoon ahead! Delisa :)
Gosh your hydrangeas are beautiful! I have cleared some space in my back garden this year and I want to plant a hydrangea there. Just haven't found one yet. I need one that is hardy to our climate zone.
Pat your hydrangeas are exquisite .. particularly the last one. I've not seen one that deep a purple before. Have a great week ~ TTFN ~ Huggers, Marydon
We had some of these growing up. We called them snowball bushes. They were lovely. Then when me and TJ got married and went to California for a reception, his mom decorated our cake with some, it was beautiful.
Love hydrangeas. They are so perfect looking all the time that I want to touch them to see if they are real. They just seem like such a perfect flower.
Pat, hydrangeas are one of my favorite flowers of all time! Yours are quite beautiful, too. This is the bush I gave to Joc to plant at Everett's grave, because they're so sweet and pretty! :)
How very pretty Pat! White ones here has yet to bloom. When I was in hospital son and DIL brought me a big lovely bouquet of the blue ones. Nurses loved them too! Need to plant more here.

Wow!! Beautiful!!!
I can see why you love them! I've heard they can be quite difficult to grow - or at least they are here in our sandy soil.
